Banana Bread Recipe With Caramelized Bananas And Hazelnuts

A beautifully moist banana bread recipe topped with sticky-sweet bananas and crunchy hazelnuts.

Even people who don’t like bananas love this light and fluffy banana bread!

Ingredients Banana bread Egg Vegetable oil Granulated or soft brown sugar Bananas All-purpose flour Baking powder Bicarbonate of soda Rolled oats Topping: Soft brown sugar Butter Vanilla extract Bananas, thickly sliced Salt Heavy cream Hazelnuts

Let's make this Banana Bread

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350f and line a 2lb loaf tin with baking parchment.  In a mixer, whisk the egg, oil and sugar until combined.

Step 2

Then slice the two ripe bananas and add them in.  Whisk again until the banana breaks down and you’ve got a slightly lumpy liquid.

Step 3

Add the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, and oats to the wet mix. Stir together with a spoon or spatula.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Take the cake out of the oven, leave to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Take the cake out of the oven, leave to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and allow to cool for at least another 30 minutes on a wire rack.
