If your morning starts well then your day has a better chance of ending well. And if you have a brilliant routine to get yourself going on the right foot, you’ll be happy and more balanced throughout the entire week – every week. Read below to learn what 15 healthy things you should be doing EVERY morning. With these new habits and integrations, your life will be a whole lot better, from top to bottom!

1. Wake Up Before 10 AM

Don’t waste your day away in bed. And don’t wake up at the very last minute to run out the door. Instead, give yourself some prep time in the morning to get your day started off on the right foot. You’ll slow your day down this way and get to enjoy more moments than constantly feeling as though you’re rushing.

2. Make The Bed

Get out of bed and make it up. You’ll feel like you’ve already accomplished something for the day and get some extra pep in your step while you do it. The first “check” for the day can happen within the first five minutes.

3. Drink A Glass Of Water

Do this before you eat breakfast! Drinking a glass of water will help your body wake up in a healthy way. You’ll feel rehydrated and you won’t gorge yourself at breakfast either.

4. Eat Breakfast

After that glass of water is downed, make yourself a healthy breakfast. We all know by now that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! This is the fuel to start everything off right, so make sure it’s got the essentials. Avocado toast or some oatmeal and fruit would be perfect!

5. Stay Away From The Phone

Step out onto the porch or balcony to grab some fresh air and sunlight. Even if it’s drizzling out, it’s a beautiful way to wake up. You’ll also be able to pick out your clothes a bit better by feeling the temp outside.

Give yourself a pep talk. Positive affirmations are healthy ways to not only live your daily life but to wake up in the morning. Make sure you’re giving yourself some time to look in the mirror and reaffirm yourself from top to bottom.

Move your body! When it’s a bit of yoga or a quick run outside, this is essential for your body, mind, and spirit. You’ll also feel better throughout the entire day for giving yourself this surge of energy.

9. Grab A Cup Of Joe

This is a great habit to start as well. Every morning add to your gratitude journal. Basically, just jot down something – big or small – that you’re grateful for every day and reflect.

Throw in some lemon to your water. It’ll taste nice but that lemon is a great way to hydrate, of course, but also help with any bloating or extra water weight. It’ll essentially help to “flush” your tummy out.
