Any time we move into a new place, one of our very favourite parts of settling in is decorating. We get to choose new pieces, new aesthetics, and new spots to put things! Rather than just repeating the same decor items or buying new things in stores, however, we like to take moving as an opportunity to make some new things that are a little more custom to our space. Right now, we’re looking to finish off our new living room, which is why we’ve been scouring the Internet for awesome DIY living room decor pieces we think might suit well.

Just in case you’d rather make yourself something that’s a little more comfort based, here’s a lovely DIY blanket idea that will amp up the cozy factor of your room without you having to learn how to knit a blanket from scratch (unless you want to, of course). Check out how Vintage Revivals used simple stitching techniques and DIY yarn pom poms to add a super fun and colourful trim all the way around the outer edge of an otherwise simply knit blanket.
